Aquila is home to an exceptional array of native orchids, 57 varieties have been recorded on Aquila’s land. Some of the orchids are rare and endangered attracting many orchid enthusiasts to Aquila.
Over 200 bird varieties create a haven for those who love bird watching activities. Kangaroos, wallabies, emus, echidnas, shingle back and blue tongue lizards all reside here and are a source of excitement to both local and international visitors.
Trust for Nature Covenant (TFN)
Aquila operates under a covenant and is committed to preserve the 100acres of virgin bush in its natural state. The TFN regional coordinators undertake regular stewardship inspections to ensure that covenant is being respected.
